**Terms and Conditions for civisence Issue Management Dashboard** **Last Updated:** March 11, 2026 **1. Acceptance of Terms** By accessing, registering for, or using the civisence Issue Management Dashboard ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. This Platform is designed for reporting and managing civic issues within college campuses, hostels, and institutes. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the service. **2. Description of Service** The Platform provides a centralized interface for students, staff, and administrators to report, track, discuss, and resolve campus infrastructure and maintenance issues. The service includes features such as issue reporting, social engagement (upvoting/downvoting and commenting), polls, and status tracking. **3. User Accounts, Verification, and Privileges** * **Account Security:** Users must register using a valid college domain email and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials (including OTPs and passwords). * **Peer Verification System:** To maintain community trust and prevent spam, certain privileges—such as the ability to upload media (photos/videos) to issue reports—are restricted to "Verified" users. Verification requires obtaining approvals from three currently verified or trusted peers. * **Reputation Points:** The Platform tracks user contributions through a reputation system. Fraudulent activity or abuse of the verification system may result in the revocation of verified status or deduction of reputation points. **4. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities** Users are expected to provide accurate, honest, and constructive information. By using the Platform, you agree **not** to: * Submit false information, duplicate issues, or spam. * Post content or comments that constitute harassment, abuse, or use inappropriate and offensive language. * Misuse the peer verification system or upvote/downvote manipulation. * Impersonate any student, staff member, or administrator. **5. Media Usage and Content Guidelines** * **Compliance:** All media (photos/videos) uploaded to the Platform must comply strictly with campus guidelines. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their uploads do not violate the privacy of others or depict inappropriate content. * **Storage Quotas:** Verified users are permitted to upload images (up to 5MB per file) for issue reporting, subject to a maximum overall storage quota of 50MB per user. * **Content Moderation:** Administrators reserve the right to review flagged content. If media or comments violate these Terms, administrators may execute a `delete_content` action to remove the violating material without prior notice. **6. Moderation, Reporting, and Enforcement** * **Community Moderation:** Users are encouraged to utilize the in-app reporting tools to flag inappropriate issues, comments, or other users for reasons including "spam," "fake information," or "harassment". * **Administrative Actions:** Administrators actively monitor the Platform and reported content. Violations of these Terms may result in administrative actions including formal warnings, removal of content, revocation of user verification, or permanent account bans (`ban_user`). **7. Intellectual Property** The Platform, including its underlying software, design, architecture, and original content, is the exclusive property of civisence. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Platform solely for its intended purpose of campus issue reporting and resolution. **8. Limitation of Liability** The civisence Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive to maintain high performance and 100% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. civisence, its developers, and campus administrators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use this platform, including data loss or delayed issue resolution. **9. Termination and Account Suspension** civisence reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate user access at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms and Conditions. While banned users may lose platform access, their previously submitted issues and comments may be preserved to maintain the integrity of historical campus data. **10.
